Characters[]

Plot[]

Clifford, Cleo and T-Bone are watching one of their favorite TV programs on a store television. It's The Adventures of Rexington: Dog of the Yukon. The content of this program is pretty typical of this type of program. Rexington is a hero dog, who's always saving the day. He does this at the end of this episode. After the show, an advertisement comes on. It's for "Mighty Snackies," the dog food that Rexington eats on the show. Once again, it's fairly typical of that type of advertising. The advertising promises that the dog food has a "fireworks of flavor" and that by eating it that your dog can have the same mighty power as Rexington. Clifford and T-Bone are hooked pretty quickly when they hear this line. Cleo is a bit more skeptical, but she's quickly hooked when she sees the dogs on the ad who are having such fun eating the dog food. As if all of that weren't enough, there's also a parody jingle of some dogs singing "Mighty Snackies, Mighty Snackies, Mighty, Mighty, Mighty Snackies," so on, so on. Also, there's a billboard for the new dog food right near the store. Clifford, Cleo and T-Bone all head to Clifford's, where they see that Mr. Bleakman next door is watching TV. The commercials are on it and it just so happens to be the dog food commercial again. The jingle plays once again. Really excited about this food, the dogs all start thinking about ways to get some. So when Emily Elizabeth comes out, they lead her towards the billboard and Cleo and T-Bone sort of point towards it. Emily Elizabeth quickly catches on that they want to try the dog food.

Trivia[]

  • The song Mighty Snackies is similar to Kanine Krunchies from Disney's 101 Dalmatians.
